This photograph, taken on the afternoon of 22nd October 2007 between Pawle Island and the Verde Rock, is important for two equally satisfying reasons:-
1. It records the moment of my ten-year-old niece’s first ever catch and
2. It proves that there are still mackerel in Strangford Lough well after the generally accepted limit of end-September
