Late harvest, Strangford Lough

It seems that due to the summer we didn't really have, harvest has been late this year - or in some cases unsuccessful. This is Quarterland Bay, Strangford Lough at about 1pm today. We skirt Quarterland in the car every time we return to the island, and it's always worth having the camera on the back seat - Canada geese graze the hill every Spring, and on some days in early summer there are a hundred or more Eider in the bay. I once watched a single porpoise work it's way methodically round the shoreline, presumably looking for an exit. Perhaps porpoises use our own method of escaping a maze: keep the hedge on your left (or right) shoulder and walk - it may take a while but eventually you will emerge.
