Here for the duration

Having made use of a brief window of opportunity to leave the island this morning with Lynn's mum, who was flying to Edinburgh, we only made it back again by following a zig-zag route between headlands, looking for the quietest water; and now that we're here, we couldn't leave even if we wanted to. It's forecast to moderate by mid-evening - good news because I have to be on the mainland first thing tomorrow.
