Oh buoy..

The wind last night was much worse than forecast, and from just south of west, ie straight onto the cabin - so both of us were up during the night moving things out of harm's way. The cabin is built on stilts, so in a strong westerly wind the whole place shudders, and depending on your perspective, you either sleep like a baby with all the noise going on around you, or lie awake all night worrying you're going to end up a long way from Kansas.. Twice, I shone the torch onto the sound to check the boats, and all seemed well, but it's hard to judge distances on the water and this morning I discovered the boat had dragged its mooring and was bouncing off the pole at the end of the jetty. No harm done but I was glad the rescue mission was in daylight..
